FAQs

We have two primary and specific initiatives for 2025: To fund a scholarship campaign for summer camp programs serving kids in our area and to install a playground at a local residential recovery center. This playground will be used by children who are visiting their parents in recovery. Those visiting times should feel enjoyable and, even if only for a moment, take their minds off the reality of being apart. We want children to experience the lightness and enjoyment of quality time and quality experiences. We believe these two initiatives will do that.

Our executive director and board of directors will handle this with the utmost of care. We encourage you to reach out directly with any questions or concerns and they will get back with you promptly.
-
Yes, of course. While we want to be very strategic and targeted with any funding we receive, we are open to expanding our reach as we’re able, as long as it aligns with our central mission and vision. Please submit a funding request form here on our website or email lindsey@steamcampforkids.com to share more.

Great question! With programs such as the playground build, there may be opportunities for help with construction or design. We also invite you to to share this initiative with others and use the hashtag #restorechildhood to bring attention to the cause, as well as wear our “Restore Childhood” ball caps out and about! We also encourage you to lead by example and when necessary, unplug, reset, take a walk, or do something silly, simple and adventurous with your own children.
